Having my birthday in June, of course as a little girl I have had many FESTAS JUNINAS birthday parties and it's my favorite!! The food is soooo amazing! There's always fun things to do with kids, you get to dress up (when you are a kid)... The music is also different! It's super fun! Here are some pics of my cousins and I with Festa Junina attire! ha Thanks to our grandma Vovó Enira, that would make these costumes!! Well I got to go to one while I was there! Lucky me!
Festas Juninas, or June Festivals, are traditional celebrations which were brought over to Brazil by Portuguese colonizers. They celebrate St. Anthony, on June 13, St. John, on June 24, and St. Peter, on June 29.
